Ready for the Lithuanian Music Day in Stockholm?

 

Together with the ambassador of the event Andrius Mamontovas we are soon going to invite YOU ALL to Norrmalmstorg square, where we will be greeted by folkish sound brought directly from Lithuania by music band “Kūjeliai” (Hammers – in English) – with linen shirts and ethnic bands they will storm like in a rock ´n´ roll concert. The artists, artisans and performers from Lithuania and Sweden will help you lift the autumn mood and colour it at the kite workshop.

 

14.00 – Official opening:

Be drawn to the whirlpool of Lithuanian music by “Gilė”, a diverse ensemble and traveller club from Kaunas. To be followed by a musician and singer Vlada Dapkutė | Soul Provider.

 

15.00 – Welcome word from the ambassador of the event and the guests.

Music Day will be continued with Edita Sääf and her studio. The guest of honor Arkadijus Vinokuras will share his memories and music about the historical events. A gentle note will be continued by a singer Giedrė Naruševičiūtė.

 

More energy will be brought by:

Dance group “Baltija” and “Gilė” ethnographic program.

 

Halfway through the evening the musicians will make their performances:

Jolanta Budriutė and rock’n’roll rhythms sounding folk group “Kūjeliai”.

 

19:30 – Closing the Event:  Andrius Mamontovas´ performance and color dance by Vilija Vitkutė.

 

20.00 – The End.

 

During the event, you can also get acquainted with the Lithuanian artists – Eglė and Esanti Naktiramė – and their works or engage in the “Kites” ceative workshop. The representatives of the State Department of Tourism will tell you more about Lithuania and the LT Big Brother team will present the mentoring program.

 

The event is open to the public and free of charge!

The Kites that will born during the Lithuanian Music Day in Stockholm will be released into the air next day, Sunday, 18th September, 2 PM in Gärdet field!

Let´s put incredible size kites made by well-known Lithuanian artists in the air together!
